Andrew Payne
Andrew Payne is considered by French critics to be "an outstanding portraitist of human nature."
After studying fine art, photography and printmaking at Hornsey College of Art in London, Andrew soon abandoned the visual arts to devote himself to writing. He has written numerous screenplays for both film and television.
His plays have been produced in prestigious venues, notably by Myriam de Colombi and Didier Bezace, and have been created by renowned directors such as Patrice Kerbrat, Michel Fagadau and Gilles Bannier.
Her monologue Don't Go There, for which Paul Smith designed the poster, was the inspiration behind the creation of directautheatre.com.
His plays have been translated by Robert Plagnol.
