Didier Bezace

Didier Bezace is a committed artist and a highly acclaimed director who has championed cultural diversity. 

Co-founder of the Théâtre de l'Aquarium at La Cartoucherie de Vincennes, which explores new forms of theatre, he went on to direct the Théâtre de la Commune d'Aubervilliers from 1997 to 2013.

An advocate of popular and demanding theatre, he directed Pierre Arditi in Molière's L'Ecole des femmes at the Avignon Festival, in the main courtyard of the Palais des Papes. He has also directed plays by Marivaux, Emmanuel Bove, Paul Nizan, Hristo Boytchev, Ludmilla Razoumovskaïa, Alan Bennett, Daniel Keene.

 

He produced Then What and Squash  au théâtre de la Commune in 2009.
